- The stark difference ended with video saying: 'Football is nothing without fans'
Arsenal were given a lesson in how to interact with mascots by non-league Chesterfield, with the fifth tier team posing for photos, asking about school and even getting the young fan to settle the Cristiano Ronaldo-Lionel Messi debate.
The Premier League giants faced fury on social media after posting footage online of an eight-year-old fan getting a shirt signed outside the dressing room.
Mikel Arteta's stars were labelled as 'entitled' and 'arrogant' in the viral clip as the young fan is not acknowledged with players not taking headphones off.
Chesterfield decided they wanted to show how Arsenal how it's done as they shared footage of their players meeting the matchday mascot before facing Torquay United on Tuesday night.
Paul Cook's team all stop to speak to the fan, sign his autograph book and star players Armando Dobra and Ollie Banks also posed for photos.

Midfielder Mike Evans wanted to pick the young fan's brain about who his favourite player is

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard appears to ignore a young mascot in footage shared by the club at the weekend
'What's your prediction?' a chatty Jeff King asked. '4-1! How many do I score matey? One?!'
Midfielder Darren Oldaker followed behind with a high five before Mike Jones struck up a conversation with the young fan.
'How are you little man, alright?' he said.
'Who's your favourite player, not just Chesterfield? Ronaldo or Messi?'
The mascot said that he thinks Dobra or winger Ryan Colclough - both at Chesterfield - are his favourite players.
'Better than Ronaldo or Messi? I agree with that [laughs]. Dobra is one of the best I've ever seen.'
Photos with Bailey Clements, Dobra and Banks followed and Chesterfield ended the video with a message that 'football is nothing without fans'.
Chesterfield were not subtle in their dig at Arsenal, using the same 'Making memories with our mascot' wording.
The post added: 'Even our mascot had a great time tonight! Some could take note…'
Arsenal were inundated with angry backlash to a video they posted of their players meeting a mascot ahead of Sunday's draw at West Ham.

The Gunners have been heavily criticised on social media for appearing to ignore the girl

Players signed autographs and also posed for pictures ahead of taking on Torquay United
The Gunners tweeted the clip, which went viral, of their stars signing a replica shirt for the smiling fan, Olivia Murray, 8, as they filed into their dressing room.
However, Arteta's men were soon under fire as comments came flooding in from Twitter users unimpressed by the lack of interaction and eye contact from Arsenal's players with the youngster, which was in contrast to her obvious excitement.
Ben White and Bukayo Saka were among those who appeared to acknowledge Olivia, but some kept their headphones in as they penned their signatures.
A string of responders claimed the post had backfired with the Gunners' title-chasing players accused by some of being 'entitled, overpaid and rude'.
