Unai Emery wants to see a big reaction from his group of players this afternoon after picking up just one point from their previous two matches on the road.
Aston Villa were short of where they needed to be to get something from Old Trafford last week and, today, Villa will look to inflict even more misery over near-neighbours Wolves given their 6-0 hammering at Brighton last time out.
Villa have welcomed back Philippe Coutinho, Boubacar Kamara and Leon Bailey to their squad, while Wolves chief Julen Lopetegui starts Nelson Semedo once again despite his withdrawal at the Amex Stadium with a knee problem.
Villa are winless in their last four encounters with Wolves (L2 D2), while Emery has won just one of his last six against a side managed by Lopetegui.
“Our idea is to play well and to improve things after the match we played in Manchester,” Emery said. “We want to control the game more. The duels will be very important.”

Key Events
Tottenham is our final - Unai Emery
Aston Villa boss Unai Emery speaking to BBC Match of the Day:
I was very happy in the first half, not with the result but with how we played. We had control of the ball and stopped their high press. We had chances but we didn’t score and we spoke about keeping the same idea in the second half.
They [Wolves] had chances in the second half and we had one very good chance but the key was to score and to try to take the game but we are still keeping chances. We are three points behind Tottenham but we play them at home next week and, in front of our supporters, we will try again and keep the European chance still open.
We were playing at a high level and winning a lot of points but the last three matches away we played a bit worse. Today, we deserved more. That is the team I want to see in the first half.
The result is disappointing but, overall, we have to be excited and the position we are in, we could not have dreamed of three months ago. We have to play three matches but the next match against Tottenham is our final.
Maybe draw fair result - Unai Emery
Aston Villa boss Unai Emery speaking to Sky Sports:
If I can take off the result, I can be happy. We played differently today than we did at Brentford and Man Utd. We controlled the game better but in the first half I told them I want to watch my team playing like that.
The second half was a little bit different because the match was slower. We had three chances to score in the first half and two in the second. Maybe the fair result was a draw.
They [Wolves] have to play to get off the bottom and they have a game plan at home. They scored quickly but we played the match by trying to keep calm and trying to make our passes to the box.
Overall, we are still making chances but we are disappointed. We appreciate the supporters and next week we will try to get to our target.
We deserved it - Ruben Neves
Speaking to Premier League productions, Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves said:
Massive result for us. We just wanted to win at home again. We worked so hard and I'm so proud of everyone. It was a tough game and Villa have been one the best teams in the second half of the season but I think we deserved this for all we have been through this season. Really happy for the boys and the fans.
A bit frustrated - John McGinn
Speaking to Premier League productions, Aston Villa midfielder John McGinn said:
We are a bit frustrated. We played pretty well and controlled much of the match but Wolves are string at home and a threat from set pieces. They made it difficult for us but we had our chances and on another day we could be going home with a point."
On the club's chances of qualifying for Europe:
It makes it tougher. It makes it extremely difficult now but we have three games left and we will try to win all three. We need to react positively and we will asses it the same way we assessed games in the positive run we were on."
VILLA PLAYER RATINGS
John McGinn: Put out a lot of fires and he had to given Villa’s lack of ball retention. It was a typical McGinn game in the sense Villa were on the back foot and they relied on players to grit their teeth and dig in in an attempt to find a way back. Raced back time and time again to win possession. A real nuisance for Wolves’ players today but, sadly, it wasn’t enough. 6*
