Bournemouth owner Bill Foley has offered to fly his team to Las Vegas as reward for successfully avoiding Premier League relegation.

However, the squad fear they will have to decline the good-natured proposal from their billionaire owner because a number of them already have pre-existing family commitments during the close season.

The Cherries are virtually guaranteed of maintaining their Premier League status for next season with head coach Gary O’Neil emerging as a contender to be named manager of the year.

The players will split a seven figure bonus pot for avoiding relegation as per the terms of their bonus schedule agreed with the club last summer.

But Mail Sport can also reveal Foley entered the Bournemouth dressing room after one of their recent Premier League matches, believed to be the recent 4-1 win over Leeds, to address the players during which he invited them to Vegas provided they could successfully maintain the club’s status in England’s top division.

Foley, whose takeover at the Vitality Stadium was exclusively revealed by Mail Sport in September, is owner of NHL side Vegas Golden Knights.

There is doubt, however, over whether players and staff can take their wealthy owner up on the generous offer because many of them already have holidays with loved ones booked.

The club, though, are looking at alternative ways of recognising the club’s success in staying up.
