City to take on Yokohama Marinos and Bayern in Tokyo

City, despite having one eye on the end of this season, are also looking ahead to next season as well. In terms of friendlies, the Cityzens have confirmed two more for their tour of Asia this summer.

In addition to the clash against Atletico Madrid in Seoul, South Korea, on 30 July, Pep Guardiola's side will face Yokohama Marinos and Bayern Munich in Tokyo, Japan.

"City will travel to Tokyo to take on reigning J1 League champions Yokohama F. Marinos on 23 July 2023. The Japanese side are part of the City Football Group. After that, it will be our turn to face Bayern Munich on 26 July 2023," reads part of the club's statement.

The English side has therefore already defined its three friendly matches for its tour of Asia. It is also worth mentioning that Bayern are also scheduled to play Kawasaki Frontale, another Japanese championship club, on Japanese soil.
