CALLUM DAVIDSON has performed a shock u-turn to REJECT the Dundee job.
SunSport revealed this morning how Dens Park chiefs planned to name the 46-year-old ex-St Johnstone gaffer as Gary Bowyer’s replacement later today.

Davidson held talks with John Nelms and Gordon Strachan on Tuesday and left them confident they had their man.
Dundee expected to be making an announcement and kick off the process of rebuilding their squad this afternoon.
But the former Scotland defender has stunned them by deciding overnight the gig is NOT for him after all.
Davidson, out of work after being sacked by Saints last month, was the preferred candidate from the moment Bowyer was sacked last Wednesday.
Dundee have had days of talks between Nelms and technical director Strachan as well as with the former Scotland, Blackburn, Preston and Leicester defender.
But despite being interested in the opportunity to get back into management so swiftly, Davidson will now wait for other options.
The 2021 double cup winner’s decision has thrown Dundee into fresh disarray, since they expected to be able to hand out new deals to players over the next 24 hours and kick off the process of building a squad for the top flight.
Over 20 of the stars who won the Championship are out of contract or gone back to parent clubs, with those who are waiting on offers asked to hang on until the management issue is resolved.

Strachan has been fielding calls with players eager to find out whether they have a future, but decisions now face being delayed further.
Dundee went through a similar situation 12 months ago when Jack Ross appeared ready to take the job – only to turn it down late on and end up at city rivals United instead.
Shaun Maloney, now at Wigan, was also offered the position 12 months ago.
Now Nelms and Strachan will have to turn to alternatives on their shortlist in a bid to land Bowyer’s replacement and appoint the club’s fourth gaffer in fifteen months.
