Aston Villa team news vs Liverpool: Unai Emery makes three changes as Cash, Digne and Kamara start
Here’s the team news from Anfield as Unai Emery shuffles his pack as Aston Villa look for a huge win over in-form Liverpool
Unai Emery has made three changes to his Aston Villa line-up this afternoon as Matty Cash, Lucas Digne and Boubacar Kamara all come in.
It means Ashley Young, Alex Moreno and Emiliano Buendia drop out, with Emery wanting to add some freshness in defence and midfield to help cope with Liverpool’s dangerous attacking players.
From back to front it’s Emi Martinez in goal and a back four of Cash, Ezri Konsa, Tyrone Mings and Digne. John McGinn has moved to the right-hand side with Jacob Ramsey on the left; Kamara and Douglas Luiz will be Villa’s two men in central midfield while, ahead of them, it’s Leon Bailey and Ollie Watkins.
