David Moyes says that Marouane Fellaini is in light training ahead of Sunday's derby match against Liverpool.

Everton manager David Moyes has said that Marouane Fellaini has a "good chance" of featuring in Sunday's Merseyside derby.

The Belgian has been struggling with knee injury, which he picked in the 2-2 draw against Wigan Athletic earlier in the month.

Moyes admitted that it would be a bitter blow if Fellaini was not able to play, coupled with the fact that Steven Pienaar will be missing through suspension.

"[Fellaini's] doing a bit of light training, so we'll see how he is," said Moyes. "He's not a definite, but I think he has a good chance.

"If he makes it, it will be a boost, if he doesn't it well be a miss.

"If we don't have him and Steven Pienaar then it will be two important players out. That is why you give people the opportunity to see what they can do, when they do get the chances they have to try and take them."

Meanwhile, the Scot also revealed that Darron Gibson will not be fit to play.
