Rangers star Glen Kamara ‘targeted by two European giants’ as asking price revealed

RANGERS midfielder Glen Kamara is a target for two big clubs in Europe, according to a report.

The Finnish international could leave this summer after manager Michael Beale paved the way for his exit.

Kamara's contract runs until the summer of 2025 however, meaning Rangers will hope to bring in a healthy transfer fee should he depart.

And his exit may come sooner rather than later, as Galatasaray and Besiktas are now hoping to land his signature, according to the Daily Mail.

If the Turkish giants want to make a deal happen, it's claimed they'll have to pay £6million to land him.

Kamara was a target for French outfit Nice in January but the Gers turned down a bid.

Beale is currently in the middle of a major summer rebuild and is looking to cash in on some of the current squad as he looks to add his own players.

The Ibrox boss has stated he was willing to let the midfielder go during this window.

He previously said: "For Glen, everything is open really. He is either going to be here for a considerable future or we will probably sell him this summer.

“I think he needs to look at the competition that’s here in pre-season and decide whether there is going to be enough football for him. It’s not my sole decision.

“It’s the decision of the board and everyone in between to make sure we make Rangers stronger and take us in a positive direction over the next three to five years.

“Who are going to be the main players in that? We spoke about the boys the other night and Glen and one or two others have been the bedrock of a championship-winning team and a team that went to a European final.

“It’s now important that we rebuild another team.”

Kamara was brought to the club by Steven Gerrard back in 2019 while Beale was assistant.

He cost the Light Blues just £50, 000 from fellow Premiership side Dundee and went on to be a mainstay in the centre of the midfield.

He made over 190 appearances for Rangers, including in the Europa League Final and helped them pick up the Premiership title in 20/21.

However, he found minutes harder to come by in recent times, especially after Todd Cantwell and Nico Raskin joined in January.
