Phil Neville finds new job a week after being sacked by David Beckham at Inter Miami

Phil Neville has made a quick return to coaching after being sacked by Inter Miami, signing up with the Canadian national team.
The former England, Manchester United and Everton player will work as part of head coach John Herdman’s staff, staying in North America to join his compatriot.
Neville was sacked as head coach of MLS side Inter Miami on June 1, just days before the David Beckham-owned side managed to secure the signing of Lionel Messi.
The 46-year-old was in his third season with Miami, but had begun the 2023 campaign with five wins and 11 defeats in 16 games for the worst record in the Eastern Conference.
The addition of Messi will certainly help remedy that, but Neville missed the chance to manage the all-time great, who chose the Florida team as his next club after leaving Paris Saint-Germain.
Neville has previously managed the England Women’s team after a caretaker stint at Salford, and will now move into international coaching.

Canada qualified for the 2022 World Cup under Herdman, reaching the tournament for the first time since 1986.
In the next addition, in 2026, Canada will again compete having qualified as co-hosts along with the USA and Mexico.
Joining Neville as an assistant is former Crystal Palace, Coventry and Millwall defender Richard Shaw.
Confirming the appointments, Canada soccer said: "Both Phil and Richard bring with them winning experiences at the highest levels and have worked with some of the premier leagues top managers during their careers.
