Man City owner Sheikh Mansour wears club scarf as he attends only SECOND game of 15-year reign in Champions League final

OWNER Sheikh Mansour watched Manchester City win the Champions League as he attended just his SECOND match ever.

The Abu Dhabi royal had only seen his side play live once since taking over the club back in September 2008.

That was a 3-0 win over Liverpool at the Etihad almost 13 years ago.

But Mansour was at the Ataturk Stadium for the clash with Inter and even wore a City scarf.

And he saw City earn the trophy he has craved the most.

Rodri's rocket secured a 1-0 victory over Inter Milan in Turkey as Pep Guardiola's side finally lifted the European Cup.

The Sheikh has bankrolled City's incredible rise, which has seen them lift seven Prem titles and nine domestic cups since the takeover.

City were hot favourites to beat the Italian side.

But that was also the case two years ago when they were beaten in the final by Chelsea.

And boss Guardiola had not won the trophy since 2011 with Barcelona.

Speaking after the game to BT Sport, Guardiola said: “I am tired, calm, satisfied of course.

"This f***ing trophy is so difficult to win. Its impossible.”
