The Jamaican broke the deadlock at the home of his beloved Manchester United in the 24th minute when he slotted the ball straight past David James with remarkable ease.

In front of the Stretford End, Bolt pulled out the Rashford celebration - pointing to his head as those present would have seen many times before.

Bolt's mark of respect to Rashford came after he revealed he believed the England international could beat him in a 20-yard sprint race.

Bolt has defied the odds in athletics, winning eight Olympic gold medals.

Speaking to Manchester United's website before he achieved it, Bolt said: “Yes! [when asked if he wanted to score at the Stretford End].

"This season, I have decided that I’m going to really work.

"For the past couple of years, I’ve never really had a plan and kind of just played football when I go out there. I will work hard, do a lot of running and play a lot of football leading up to the game, so I’m much sharper.

"So that’s my plan."

His plan worked, and he managed to tick something else off his bucket list.

Bolt is one of the best sportspeople we've ever seen, but scoring at Old Trafford at Soccer Aid still meant so much to him.

It's moments like these which make Soccer Aid such a great occasion, and 2024's is sure to be no different.
