Rangers favourite Scott Arfield ‘finds surprise new club’ after end of Ibrox contract

RANGERS favourite Scott Arfield has secured his next club after his Ibrox contract expired.
The midfielder was one of five first-team stars who said farewell to the Govan masses at the end of the season.
He later spoke of his wish to return to the club in some capacity in the future.
But Arfield - who also fancies a crack at old club Falkirk - has agreed his next move.
It is a slightly left-field option and he will team up with his former Burnley team-mate Ashley Westwood in the MLS at Charlotte FC.
According to the Daily Mail the Canadian international has agreed a two-year deal.

The switch is subject to a medical and finalised terms at the weekend when the 34-year-old will fly across the Atlantic to North Carolina.
Arfield's deal follows Ryan Kent agreeing to sign with Turkish giants Fenerbahce last week.
He'll link up with Westwood at his Bank of America Stadium base which is shared between the club and NFL franchise the Carolina Panthers.
Arfield could also face former Ibrox team-mates James Sands who is at New York City in the American league and Matt Polster in New England Revolution.

His expected new side Charlotte are 10th in MLS Eastern Conference, after winning six of their opening 18 matches and drawing four.
Michael Beale admitted Arfield's future was the most difficult to decide upon as he began his Ibrox revamp.
Ryan Jack signed a new deal but the Canadian international was allowed to leave at the end of his contract alongside Allan McGregor, Alfredo Morelos, Filip Helander and Kent.
The Colombian striker has yet to tie up his next team but has been heavily linked with previous suitors Sevilla.
Beale admitted the decision was a difficult one as he began his clear-out and said: "He was the one who was the most difficult because he's contributing and he's fit on the pitch.
"He's had one or two niggles that have reduced his minutes, but if I'd kept Scott here it would have been selfish on my part. You have to live the reality of it.
"With one or two midfielders coming in and the hope that Tom Lawrence returns to fitness, then you have young Bailey Rice and Alex Lowry, you have to think about the bigger picture for Scott and us.
"Scott has been so important to us on and off the pitch and so has Allan McGregor. When we're talking about sentiment, it's difficult."
