Hibs have made a move for Ghanaian international keeper Joe Wollacott.

Boss Lee Johnson wants to sign him from Charlton Athletic, as he looks to bring in two keepers. Record Sport revealed earlier this week that a deal to sign Max Boruc from Slask Wroclaw was already agreed. Johnson is looking to really strengthen his goalkeeping department with last season's No. 1 David Marshall still in place.

He will also need the extra cover with Hibs also having European and domestic commitments next season. Wollacott is a man Johnson knows well as he previously worked with him at Bristol City. The keeper faced the agony of missing out on the World Cup after injuring his finger weeks before the last year’s finals. Wollacott spent most of his time with the Robins out on-loan with Clevedon, Weymouth, Bergsoy, Bath City, Woking, Truro City, Gloucester City, Forest Green Rovers and Swindon Town.

The 26-year-old then moved to Swindon to become their No. 1 and then made the switch to Charlton last year. Hibs have already done some early business signing Jordan Obita from Wycombe and experienced striker Adam Le Fondre after his exit from Sydney FC.
