Rangers ace Nicolas Raskin compared to Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham – as he comes out top on FIVE key stats

JUDE BELLINGHAM has just moved to Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund in a deal which could rise to £115m.

But one social media scouting tool has revealed how Rangers star Nicolas Raskin actually tops the all-purpose English midfielder in FIVE key categories - on the strength of his play since moving to Ibrox.

Bellingham is already a global superstar

Twitter site DataMB have run the numbers and they allow Raskin to have the edge - even if he played his football last season in the less rarified air of the Scottish Premiership compared to the Bundesliga.

Raskin tops Bellingham when it comes to key passes, progressive passes, forward passes, progressive runs and duels won.

That still leaves him languishing behind England superstar Bellingham in two categories, although not by much.

Those two categories are forward pass percentage and defensive actions.

While the data should be taken with a pinch of a salt as it depends on the opposition and how a player is deployed, it us a sign of how complete a player Raskin can be.

He's currently playing for Belgium's Under-21 team in a national finals - and will look to build on that in his first full season with Michael Beale as boss.

Raskin recently outlined the importance of his first full pre-season with the Light Blues.

He said: "I played a lot for Rangers during the season - whenever I was fit basically.

"Rangers are a great club with very high expectations. When I arrived, it was a complicated situation and we lost a cup final.

But the longer the season went on, the better we were as a team.

"We ended the season beating Celtic 3-0 and that gave us all a good vibe for next season. I can't wait for it to start.

"My ambition is to win something at Rangers and finally get something to put on my CV.

"The Scottish league may not be the most followed championship in Belgium, but it's very big. Rangers are a top European club."
