EX-RANGERS favourite Scott Arfield might have waved goodbye to Ibrox, but he couldn’t resist a cheeky dig at his old pal Ianis Hagi.
The Canadian international‘s contract expired with the Light Blues this summer, allowing him to make a switch stateside to join MLS club Charlotte FC.

The 34-year-old joined the club in 2018 on a free from Burnley where he became Steven Gerrard‘s first signing as Gers manager.
He soon became a key player for the Govan outfit, chipping in with goals in big games – including derbies with rivals Celtic.
And in 2021, Arfield played a key role in the Rangers squad delivering the club’s first title in a decade.
One member of that team was Romanian midfielder Hagi – the son of legendary star Gheorghe.

And the pair remain in touch despite Arfield’s move to America.
Livingston-born Arfield shared pictures of himself in training with his new employers on Instagram,
Hagi, still full of admiration for his ex-teammate, replied: “What a player.”
To which the man himself cheekily replied: “You’re not bad yourself son. Not as good as your dad, but your not bad yourself ❤️”

The Romanian handled it well, responding with several laughing emojis before confessing: “Miss you man.”
The Light Blues faithful in the comments loved the interaction between the two old pals.
One described Arfield’s put down as “brutal” while another said “love the blue nose banter”.
