Arsenal have been one of the busiest sides of the summer so far and they currently show very little sign of stopping.

The Gunners have been working hard to perfect their squad, and an update on Reiss Nelson's future will surely bring more smiles to fans.

After joining Arsenal at the age of nine, it looked as though the winger's time at the club would come to an end this summer.

Last season saw him play in the final year of his current contract, a campaign that saw him impress despite limited game time.

However, after previously rejecting initial contract extensions, he looks set to commit his future to the Gunners.

As reported by CBS correspondent James Benge, Nelson will put pen to paper on a new four-year deal today.

Such news has clearly brought to delight to Arsenal fans as they look set to keep hold of one of their own for next season onwards.

One supporter on Twitter said: "And there's still [Granit] Xhaka exit to follow, this might be the best Arsenal transfer window ever."

"It's been a good time for Arsenal. Great time to be alive," added another in light of the news.

A third said: "Edu [Gaspar, sporting director] you deserve a holiday after today. Man hasn’t slept in 3 weeks doing all our summer business before preseason. What a guy."

William Saliba's new deal is also set to be announced this week, with more fresh signings on the horizon.

Following Kai Havertz's move from Chelsea, Declan Rice looks set to join from Arsenal and will undergo his medical on Friday.

Ajax defender Jurrien Timber is also approaching a move to north London for a £34.3million fee has been reached.

Arsenal already look ready and raring to go in the new season, with another Premier League title challenge certainly on the cards.
