Chelsea confirm signing of ‘next Paolo Maldini’, 17, from Premier League rivals in cut-price transfer

CHELSEA have completed the signing of promising defender Ishe Samuels-Smith from Everton.
The 17-year-old has made the switch to Stamford Bridge after impressing for Everton Under-21s and is delighted to be a Blue.
Samuels-Smith said after the deal was confirmed: "It was a shock to me because it all happened quickly, but I’m really glad to be here.
"It’s going to be a good experience coming into such a big club. It will be a new challenge because there are top players here, so I am going to have to adapt quickly and get through the levels."
Chelsea fans are also happy with his capture and are predicting big things for Samuels-Smith's future.
One supporter said: "Ballon d’Or loading."

Some fans also called on the club to make more first-team signings but Chelsea need to sell players first.
