Birthday boy Antonio Cassano lived a life full of sex and good food before putting his playboy days behind him - but not before sleeping with 700 women and eating even more croissants
Antonio Cassano lived the ultimate playboy lifestyle before putting his old ways behind him.
The iconic former Italy striker, who celebrates his 41st birthday on Wednesday (July 12), was already causing havoc at boyhood club Bari before joining Roma.
A self-proclaimed sex and food lover, Cassano didn't let the lifestyle hamper his performances on the pitch and even secured a blockbuster transfer to Real Madrid.
By the age of just 25, Cassano estimated that he had slept with between 600 and 700 women - including 20 celebrities.

In his book, he wrote: "In Madrid I had a friend who was a hotel waiter. His job was to bring me three or four pastries after I had sex.
"He would bring the pastries up the stairs, I would escort the woman to him and we would make an exchange.
"He would take the girl and I would take the pastries. Sex and then food, a perfect night."

Cassano, who had been the most expensive teenager on the planet when joining Roma for £26million, had a public bust-up with manager Fabio Capello.
As well as clashing with his manager, referees were regularly on the end of abuse in Italy - with Cassano moving to Real Madrid after disagreeing with his next boss Luciano Spalletti.
In Spain, the food-loving side of Cassano lead to financial loss with Los Blancos fining him for every gram he was overweight.
His nickname changed from The Kid from Bari to El Gordito (The Little Fatty) - with Fabio Capello's arrival the beginning of the end.
Cassano returned to Italy with Sampdoria where he put his old ways behind him when meeting future wife Carolina Marcialis.
His time at the club wouldn't be so harmonious, ending with a tribunal over gross misconduct after he failed to attend an awards presentation night.
Cassano was a changed man by the time he joined AC Milan, playing 40 times for the club before a single season at rivals Inter and even continuing his career after having minor heart surgery.
The striker has already picked up La Liga and Serie A glory by the time he arrived at the San Siro - having missed out on the Italy squad for the 2006 World Cup.
Cassano also had a locker room tear up with Inter coach Andrea Stramaccioni as a normal conversation turned sour - months before he left the club.

Cassano impressed at Parma and returned to Sampdoria before retiring at Verona in 2017 - with his international career coming to an end after 39 caps and 10 goals three years earlier..
During a Euro 2012 press conference, Cassano was heavily criticised for saying that he'd prefer to have no gay players in his squad, which led to a UEFA fine.
Cassano and wife Carolina have since settled down with their two sons - but he remains a controversial figure as a pundit, recently slamming Jose Mourinho as a "scumbag" for good measure.
