Watch Rangers legend Allan McGregor duff his final tee shot after making surprise appearance at Scottish Open

ALLAN McGREGOR is probably going to be spending a lot more time on the golf course after leaving Rangers.
The former Ibrox number one is expected to hang up his gloves and move into retirement – although he is yet to formally confirm that his playing days are definitely over.
On this evidence, McGregor, 41, might need a bit more practice if his golf game is going to ever reach the heights of his goalkeeping game.
The one-time Scotland ace was teeing it up in the Genesis Scottish Open pro-am at the Renaissance Course in North Berwick while his former team-mates were sweating their way through a pre-season training session in Germany.
McGregor had good company on the course in the form of former Ryder Cup ace Alex Noren, Scottish pro Grant Forrest and Dundee United striker Steven Fletcher.
But the former St Johnstone loanee failed to finish with a flourish.

Golf magazine Bunkered had their man out on the course following all the pro-am action.
And he filmed McGregor fluffing his iron shot off the tee no more than 50 yards – proving that even professional athletes can mess it up as much as the rest of us.
One Rangers fan podcast was quick to pick up on it, quipping: “Allan McGregor not having his finest day on the golf course at the Scottish Open Pro-Am.”
John McGinn and Scott McTominay were also spotted ahead of their round with movie star Dougray Scott and leading Scots golfer Robert MacIntyre.

McGinn was captured on camera having a lash off the tee.
And in typical deadpan fashion, the one-time Hibs star wasn’t happy with his efforts, labelling himself “John McThin”.
McTominay looked more the part with a number of booming drives.
And he was delighted that someone from DP World Tour had recorded the whole thing for posterity.
He said: “Clip that. Box it up. Put it on Instagram. I think that’s the case isn’t it?”
Not everything went to plan however for the man known as McSauce.
And he hoped one of the US pros playing in the main event – Billy Horschel – could sort out his swing.
He groaned: “I’ve got a wicked slice boys, it’s horrific.
