Rangers transfer bulletin as Cifuentes silences critics amid swirling rumours and Colak locked in Italian 'talks'

It's been a busy summer at Rangers but it is likely that things will only get busier.

Summer transfer talk is intensifying and Rangers don't look like slowing down anytime soon.

The Light Blues have already made seven signings as part of manager Michael Beale's rebuild, the latest being Leon Balogun's return as a swift solution to central defender Leon King's ankle injury blow. Attention is now turning to key targets for a tilt at the Premiership title and Champions League qualifiers, including LAFC's Ecuadorian midfielder Jose Cifuentes and Feyenoord striker Danilo, both of whom aren't letting talk phase them.

Exit rumours are in the air and Glen Kamara seems poised for a summer change as Besiktas and English Championship sides are the latest to be linked with bringing an end to his Ibrox stay. But who will be next to walk through the doors at Auchenhowie and who might be heading the other way to pastures new? We take a look at the latest rumours surrounding Rangers.

Antonio Colak

Starting with some exit chat, and Croatian striker Colak is another who has been linked with a move elsewhere. It had been claimed that Werder Bremen were on his case and new reports have suggested that Italian interest is also brewing.

CalcioMercato have gone a step further, claiming Colak is in 'talks' with Pisa over a move abroad as the club 'fishes on the foreign market'. With Champions League football potentially on offer at Ibrox though, it remains to be seen whether he can be convinced to drop into Italy's second tier.

Jose Cifuentes

As this deal stalls ever so slightly, the midfielder is showing that he is still capable of performing amid the noise. His contract runs out at the end of this year and a rough agreement is in place for his move to Ibrox, but it's still not been shuffled forward to this summer quite yet.

And as he netted the winner in a 3-0 success over St Louis City, Cifuentes was cryptic. His celebration consisted of a shush in the direction of the home support, before his fingers were planted firmly in his ears as talk continues.

Danilo

If the Brazilian didn't know how much Rangers fans want him to sign with their club, he does now. The striker took to Twitter to celebrate his latest goal for the Rotterdam club in a friendly win over Club Brugge.

He quoted a religious text that read 'Pursue the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.' It has been met with pleas to make the Glasgow move happen, one asking 'stop scoring, they might try keep you' another stating 'You’d look better in blue' and another bluntly putting 'Get yourself to Rangers.'

Leon Balogun

Michael Beale has described the returning Nigerian international as a friendly face for the players to see. And he's got plenty of support following his move back to Glasgow.

Recently-departed midfielder Scott Arfield has sent him a 'congratulations big fella' message via Instagram, with former back-up goalkeeper Andy Firth writing 'good luck big man.' Cedric Itten also replied with 'congratulations brother.'
