Rangers transfer news roundup as Malik Tillman loan interest steps up and Antonio Colak 'loudly requested' Parma switch
The American international has a host of clubs in Germany chasing his signature but the chance for another loan remains on the table.
Rangers continue to do the work in the transfer market, but some Ibrox sleuths may be miffed about the news surrounding former loanee Malik Tillman.
The popular Bayern Munich star was a smash-hit for Michael Beale's side last season, with the London boss initially keen to trigger an exclusive option to buy clause for the 21-year-old. But the Bundesliga dominators negotiated their way out of said option, leaving Rangers with a compensation fee and a percentage of any future sale. Tillman, according to reports, is attracting interest from a host of German clubs with the likes of Premier League Brighton also keen. The Light Blues' Europa League final conquerors Eintracht Frankfurt were the latest to enter the race for the midfielder.
Now it appears as if Stuttgart will make their swoop for the exciting star, yet reports from Sport Bild's Bayern Insider podcast reckon the Bundesliga side are lining up a loan swoop. It's a pathway for Tillman that the Munich outfit wouldn't rule out despite supposed permanent transfer interest from the Premier League. The USA international has an existing relationship with Stuttgart's head coach, which could swing the deal in their favour.
Meanwhile Beale continues his clear-out at Ibrox and it appears Croatian forward Antonio Colak is on the way to Italy. The 29-year-old has been the subject of a £2.5million from Serie A outfit Parma as they look to add firepower in their bid to reach the top flight once again.
According to Tutto Mercato, Colak is due to arrive in Italy to seal his move on Friday. It will be a three-year deal laid out for the forward while he can expect a pay packet of around £750,000 per year. TMW say he 'loudly requested' a move to Parma. He managed 18 goals from 39 appearances after arriving at Ibrox last summer in a £1.8million move from Greek side PAOK, but played a more prominent role under Gio Van Bronckhorst in the first half of the season.
Beale often rotated the big forward with now gone Alfredo Morelos who is still said to be a live target of Everton. The Colombian forward, who managed more than 100 goals during a six-year stint in Glasgow, is without a club as he watched former teammate Ryan Kent head for a big move Fenerbahce.
