Celtic transfer news bulletin as Tete opens door to move while Kwon Hyeok kyu deal rated a 'high possibility'
Brendan Rodgers is on the lookout for a marquee signing after returning to Celtic Park.
Brazilian Tete has opened up on his next step as he prepares to leave Shakhtar Donetsk - with Celtic reportedly leading the race to snap up the winger this summer.
The 23-year-old previously worked under Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City and a reunion could on the cards at Celtic Park as the attacker prepares to quit the club during the ongoing Russian invasion of the country. He was on loan at the King Power Stadium and spent time at Lyon in Ligue 1 - but he is now on the lookout for a permanent move elsewhere in Europe.
While his agent remains in talks over ripping up his Shakhtar, Tete insists he is in no rush to decide his future as he played his cards close to his chest over a potential exit. Speaking to Ukrainian outlet, he said: "We haven't decided on the future club yet. We are studying very carefully, but we are not in a hurry to make a decision just yet. There are many teams interested, but right now everything is decided by my agent.
"I love Ukraine. Now I am on vacation and, despite the war, I came here. We believe in victory and that everything will be fine."
Winger Yang Hyun-Jun looks set to finally seal a move to the Scottish Premiership champions from Gangwon, but the Hoops shopping in the Korean market may not be done just yet. Korean outlet Chosun report Kwon Hyeok-kyu could be next on the agenda.
The Busan IPark midfielder is currently on loan at Gimcheon Sangmu - the sports division of the Korean armed forces - as he completes his military service. But a Busan official told Chosun that a Celtic switch was on the cards, stating: "We are positively reviewing Kwon Hyuk-kyu's advance into Europe. There is a high possibility that the transfer will be completed."
Celtic have been linked long-term with a move for Ardon Jashari - but the window appears to be closing on a deal to bring the FC Luzern midfielder to Glasgow's east end. The 20-year-old looks set to seal a move to FC Basel.
Luzerner Zeitung report Luzern are holding out for a fee in the region of £4.4million. However, the player is reportedly keen on the deal with a contract "already agreed.".
