Goodnight

Thanks for joining us on today's Everton FC blog. We'll be back in the morning. Goodnight.

Arnaut Danjuma keen on AC Milan move

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport via Football Italia, Arnaut Danjuma is keen on a move to AC Milan.

It has been claimed that there has not been an agreement between the two clubs with details still to evaluate. However, the Dutchman is reportedly eyeing a move to the Serie A.

Feyenoord were among the clubs looking to prise him away from Villarreal but it was suggested that he wishes to remain in Europe's top five leagues.

Everton have also been quoted to obtain a strong interest but now face competition from the Italian outfit.

Everton not interested in Jonny Evans

According to Alan Myers of Sky Sports, via Everton news, former Leicester City defender Jonny Evans is not joining Everton.

A video posted to social media sent fans wild after his name was mentioned during the Blues' sessions in pre-season.

Everton expected to raise Toure bid

According to Spanish outet IDEAL via Sport Witness, Almeria are expecting Everton to raise their bid for striker El Bilal Toure.

This is believed to be happening sooner rather than later, too, as Sean Dyche hopes to not miss out on the target and have him integrated, ready for the start of the new Premier League season.

Yesterday it was reported that the Blues' initial offer of €25 million was rejected, and only a bid in excess of €30 million would make Almeria happy.

Salisu offer

Back in May, Football Insider reported that Everton were in the market for a left-sided centre back, with Southampton's Mohammed Salisu dubbed as a 'top candidate' for Goodison Park officials.

However, it is now believed that the South Coast club have received an offer from AS Monaco.

Salisu fell out of favour towards the end of the Saints' disappointing last season, and is out of contract in 2024. As a result, it is strongly believed he will be one of the players that depart ahead of a return to the Championship.

Everton credited with Hudson-Odoi interest

The latest gossip from 90min is that Everton are one of a number of clubs interested in Chelsea's Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The 22-year-old has entered the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge and is currently exploring a move away from his boyhood club.

In England, Fulham and Nottingham Forest have been listed as possible destinations alongside Everton.

Clubs from France, Germany, Italy, Saudi Arabia and the US are also said to be keeping tabs.

Chelsea are allegedly looking to sell outright this summer, though could be open to a loan with a mandatory purchase clause in 12 months.

Gnonto deal 'getting closer'

Sky Italia report that Wilfried Gnonto is edging towards staying in the Premier League for the upcoming season, with Everton now 'getting closer' to sealing a move for the Leeds United winger.

The 19-year-old was relegated with the Yorkshire club last season, but impressed in his 24 appearances. So far he has been credited with interest from Premier League rivals Aston Villa and Champions League finalists Inter Milan, but Everton are in the driving seat.

Kouyate message after first goal

Everton youngster Katia Kouyate has taken to social media with a message to the club's supporters after scoring his first goal for the club.

The Blues beat Stade Nyonnais 2-1 in their first pre-season test yesterday afternoon, with Kouyate opening the scoring on the hour mark with a powerful strike into the roof of the net.

Speaking on Twitter after full-time, the 19-year-old said: "Alright Toffees, Katia Kouyate here. First goal, great feeling to score for this incredible club, hopefully many more opportunities to come. Up the Toffees!"

Lampard speaks on his work with Gordon at Everton

Speaking to Steven Bartlett on the Diary of a CEO podcast, former Everton boss Frank Lampard told of his delight at helping to develop young players, including Anthony Gordon during his spell on Merseyside.

"My biggest pleasure is coaching and improving players, particularly young players, and I've had the fortune to work with some really good young players," he said. "At Derby, I had Mason Mount, Harry Wilson, Fikayo Tomori. At Chelsea, Tammy Abraham. At Everton, Anthony Gordon.

"They are the sponges that are a real pleasure to work with and I love that part of being able to speak to them. I remember being an older player and you're a bit more cynical. When you're a young player, you're like a blank canvas and you can push them."

The winger made 65 Premier League appearances for the Blues, scoring seven goals, before being sold to Newcastle United for £40 million in January.

Stade Nyonnais 1-2 Everton

Katia Kouyate was one of the more impressive performers as Everton won their first pre-season friendly of the summer in Switzerland.

The youngster opened the scoring before Neal Maupay added a second from the spot.

Here's all the reaction from Chris Beesley, who was the only member of the UK press out in Switzerland for the game.

Good morning!

Hello, good morning and welcome to another EFC liveblog on this Saturday morning.

The July weather isn't great, but at least the Toffees got their pre-season off to a winning start.

They didn't have it all their own way against Stade Nyonnais, though and a striker is clearly still needed. Could they move for El Bilal Toure? Reports continue to gather pace surrounding the Almeria target.

We'll have all the latest on that, plus match reaction, throughout the day.
