West Brom ran out 3-1 winners in their second warm-up match of the summer as they eased past League One Shrewsbury Town in a behind closed doors training game on Saturday lunch-time.

Having beaten Port Vale last weekend at the club's training ground, the Baggies posted another heartening victory over more EFL opponents this weekend. Goals came from Conor Townsend, Adam Reach and Jayson Molumby.

Perhaps to be expected, what with his loan transfer to Championship rivals Cardiff City imminent, there was no Karlan Grant involved at all as he draws closer to leaving The Hawthorns after spending the last three years at the club.

Alex Palmer played an hour, but Carlos Corberan otherwise made wholesale changes at half time in the game. Ryan Bowman had cancelled out Townsend's opener, but Reach restored Albion's lead before half time before Molumby added a third in the second half.

Grady Diangana and Nathaniel Chalobah are still not quite ready to partake in match action and so, along with long-term absentees Daryl Dike and Martin Kelly, were absent. Young pair Harry Whitwell and Kevin Mfuamba shared a half of the second half apiece.

Albion take on Cheltenham Town, in front of supporters for the first time this pre-season, on Tuesday evening before the squad heads north to tackle Salford City on Wednesday night. Next week's busy schedule is rounded off with a meeting with Burton Albion at the Pirelli Stadium.
