Roofe and his daughter own and look after a couple of ponies, Alarnie and Astro.

And on a recent trip to the stables to catch up with them, the Rangers hero bumped into a horse who was seemingly EXTREMELY keen to have his picture taken!

Roofe regularly posts pictures and stories to his Instagram of his ponies being trained and looked after.

But his latest post from the stables was rather difficult.

Roofe posted a series of pictures to his Instagram, captioned: "The ops come in all forms 😂"

The first picture isn't anything out of the ordinary, as the curious creature leans forward into the photograph.

But in further images, the horse pulls off what's been described by one fan as the "ultimate photobomb."

The horse showcases an array of incredible expressions as Roofe captures the creature neighing behind him.

Rangers teammate Rabbi Matondo replied to the post with a laughing emoji, while Jack Butland, James Tavernier and Leon Balogun all liked the post.

Several fans found it hilarious too.

One said: "Too funny!"

Another joked: "Good to see you're in a stable condition."

A third added: "Absolutely brilliant! 😂 Roofe wins Insta!"

Roofe's last campaign was ravaged by injury with the 30-year old only managing a handful appearances.

But he's battled back to fitness and could be involved this weekend when Michael Beale's men welcome Hamburg to Ibrox for a pre-season friendly.
