Josip Juranovic sells Celtic to Maik Nawrocki in passionate phone call to close £4.3m transfer
The 22-year-old Legia Warsaw standout has been chased by a host of clubs this summer but he is joining the Treble winners.
Incoming Maik Nawrocki was reportedly given a major Celtic sell from former team-mate Josip Juranovic which helped swing his looming £4.3million switch to Parkhead.
The 22-year-old Legia Warsaw standout has been chased by a host of clubs this summer and Galatasaray thought they were in the lead for his signature, however, the Poland international is now in Glasgow thanks in part to his ex-Legia pal Juranovic who enjoyed 18 successful months in Glasgow's east end before leaving for Union Berlin in a £10m fee in January.
Nawrocki offers positional versatility as he can play both centrally and at right back and that trait may well prove invaluable with star man Alistair Johnston on the sidelines. The Daily Mail states Juranovic was on the blower to his old mate to sell him on what he can expect with Celtic. Nawrocki will join a side which secured a Treble and will return to the Champions League group stage once again.
