Rob Holding posts cryptic response to Arsenal fans after suffering abuse for Barca mistake
Rob Holding took to Instagram and posted a short message after he came in for more stick from Arsenal fans for a costly error he made in their 5-3 win against Barcelona
Arsenal star Rob Holding posted a cryptic message on Instagram after he received more abuse for making a mistake against Barcelona.
Holding, who won just two of the six games he started when deputising for the injured William Saliba at the tail end of last season, was brought on for the final five minutes of the pre-season friendly in LA on Wednesday (July 26).
He then made an error leading to Barca's third goal of the game, slipping in possession inside his own half before Ousmane Dembele found Ferran Torres who scored.
Gunners fans were once again unhappy with him on social media, having previously given him stick for his performances as the Premier League title slipped from their grasp.

One tweeted: "Leave Rob Holding in the States." A second bemoaned: "Can’t do another season of Rob Holding man." And a third argued: "He should leave immediately."
"Rob Holding, it's time to pack your things mate," added a fourth, while a fifth joked: "Rob Holding should start learning Arabic ASAP!" A sixth said: "Rob Holding, moving like a product of Mustafi and Sokratis."

Holding took to Instagram himself post-match, uploading a black screen on his story and writing over it "Nice one".
The former England under-21 centre-back, who joined Arsenal from Bolton Wanderers back in 2016, has been linked with a move to Turkish club Besiktas. A £2million offer was reportedly rejected earlier this month.
He's fallen further down the defensive pecking order this summer following the arrival of the versatile Jurrier Timber. It's believed Mikel Arteta is happy to let him go if the right offer comes in, with Emirates chiefs said to be holding out for nearer £10m.
He and his team-mates are set to return to England following the conclusion of their United States tour, which ended with a 5-3 victory against Barca. They'll next face Monaco for the Emirates Cup on Tuesday (August 2).
