When Rangers fans can expect to see Dujon Sterling and Connor Goldson after injury woes

MICHAEL BEALE shrugged off a rotten Rangers show against Olympiacos and insisted: We'll be fine when it matters.

The Gers gaffer saw his side beaten by a superior Olympiacos in front of 29,000 fans at Ibrox.

But Beale, who expects to unveil new faces Jose Cifuentes and Danilo early next week, has no fears over his side's state of readiness for their Premiership opener at Kilmarnock on August 5.

He said: "It was a good game, a good opponent, and another really good pre-season game against a different style to Newcastle and Hamburg. We need that.

"The three goals, we didn't defend very well.

"We know we've got to push the group now.

"We need to play teams who are going to challenge us and they were good opponents.

"But we'll be OK. We need to keep moving in the right direction with our training and ideas.

"It will all settle down when it's supposed to, in ten days' time.

"I'm really pleased with the new guys coming in."

Beale provided a positive fitness update on a host of players, including summer signing Dujon Sterling, who has yet to kick a ball after picking up an injury before their summer training camp in Germany.

Cyriel Dessers played for an hour but is still playing catch-up.

Beale, whose side now face Hoffenheim in Germany on Saturday, said: "Cyriel is about two weeks behind everyone else. We've not risked Tom Lawrence or Kemar Roofe. They will be available in Hoffenheim, though.

"Ryan Jack will also be back in the squad.

"Dujon Sterling will return to training on Friday, Leon King on Monday and Connor Goldson is back next Wednesday."

On the imminent arrivals of Cifuentes from Los Angeles FC and Danilo from Dutch club Feyenoord, Beale said: "Just be patient.

"I'm hoping it will be good news for everybody at the start of next week."

Beale confirmed there will also be exits from Ibrox over the next few weeks.

He said: "We've had enquiries for three or four players. We need to name our squad next week for the first Euro games and there will be one or two who won't make it."
