El Bilal Toure and Brian Brobbey transfer latest as Everton chase new forwards
A round-up of the latest Everton transfer news including updates on Brian Brobbey, El Bilal Toure and Emiliano Martinez
Brian Brobbey is happy at Ajax and is not actively pushing for a move away this summer amid interest from Everton.
Strengthening Sean Dyche’s attack is the main priority for the club in the transfer window this summer. As a result, Everton, as reported by the ECHO earlier this month, are interested in doing a deal with the Dutch giants for the forward.
A product of the Ajax youth system, Brobbey scored 13 goals in 32 Eredivisie games last season and was also on target for the Netherlands during the under-21 European Championship earlier this summer.
However, despite the interest from Everton, the ECHO understands that Brobbey is not actively pursuing a move away from Johan Cruyff Arena, as he is happy in Amsterdam after returning last year following a spell in Germany with RB Leipzig.

The Blues are also interested in signing UD Almeria forward El Bilal Toure. However, sources in Italy believe the Mali international will join Atalanta, who have been battling with Everton for the striker’s signature.
The 21-year-old is regarded as one of the most promising young forwards in Europe after scoring seven times in 21 games for Joan Francesc Ferrer Sicilia’s side last season. His goals helped Almeria avoid relegation from La Liga.
Everton explored signing Rodrigo and Moussa Dembele earlier this summer, but both have now moved to Saudi Arabia. Rodrigo joined Al Rayyan from Leeds United for an undisclosed fee, while Dembele signed for Al-Ettifaq on Wednesday night after he left Olympique Lyonnais following the conclusion of his contract.
An enquiry was also made to Sheffield United earlier this summer over the availability of Daniel Jebbison. The forward scored twice in 19 appearances for the Blades last season and is a player Everton have had a long-term interest in.
FC Midtjylland are also insisting that Emiliano Martinez is not for sale after he was linked with a move to the Premier League. Everton are just one of the clubs that have been suggested as a possible destination for the midfielder this summer.
But Midtjylland sporting director Svend Graversen has shot down any suggestion the Uruguay international could leave the MCH Arena. Speaking to ViaPlay, he said: "We brought him in last year, and we are happy that he is already in demand.
"He has to come in and perform for us. It is clear that when you have already earned yourself the attention of bigger clubs, it is a positive thing.
"But in the end, it is all about him performing. We must have a sporting benefit from the impact he can have. So he stays here."
