Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is reportedly in discussions with Turkish club Besiktas regarding a potential move after leaving Liverpool as a free agent this summer.

The 29-year-old has received offers from various clubs and is currently considering his options. Along with Besiktas, there is also interest from other Premier League clubs and even Saudi Arabia. Oxlade-Chamberlain recently travelled to a London hotels for talks with Besiktas president Ahmet Nur Cebi after initial discussions earlier this month, reports the Express.

The midfielder, who spent six years at Liverpool, was released by the club due to recurring injury problems that affected his playing time. During his time at Anfield, Oxlade-Chamberlain scored 18 goals in 146 games, but fitness issues limited his appearances in recent seasons.

Besiktas are keen to secure Oxlade-Chamberlain's services and they are prepared to make him their highest-paid player to entice him to join the Super Lig. Besiktas have a track record of signing players from English clubs, including Dele Alli, Nathan Redmond, and Cenk Tosun.

Oxlade-Chamberlain's priority is to find regular playing time after being limited to a bit-part role under Jurgen Klopp in the past two years. "I still want success, I've had a taste of it here, they've been the best years ever," he said in May. "So, if by any chance, I can have another sniff of achieving anything like that again then I'd bite your hand off.

"I think I need to go and play somewhere as consistently as possible. They say you're coming into your peak at 29, so I want to go and test myself, play consistently somewhere."
