Fashion Sakala Rangers transfer exit latest as Michael Beale explains why he WON’T feature against Kilmarnock

IT wasn't so long ago that Fashion Sakala was starting Old Firm games as Rangers' most in-form striker.

But as the season gets under way there will be no sign of him as the Ibrox men kick off their campaign against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

It was reported last week that the 26-year old had rejected the chance to join Al-Fayha.

But talk surrounding Sakala's Ibrox future has intensified in recent days - with the Zambian international's potential Saudi move believed to be back on.

And Beale admitted today that he will miss the clash as he's in discussions with a Saudi Arabian side.

This is a man who scored eight goals in his last 14 games for the club as he emerged as one of the Ibrox men's more reliable goalscorers.

Beale said: "Fashion Sakala is in talks with a Saudi Arabian club with a view to leaving Rangers.

"He won't be involved tomorrow because he is away having discussions.

"He's talking to one of the Saudi clubs.

"He is a boy and a player that I have a fantastic relationship with but sometimes in football these things happen, an opportunity comes up and you discuss it with the player and from there something can happen.

"So he is away having talks, there is nothing confirmed either way but he won't be with the squad tomorrow."
