'The Incredible Hulk' proves he's still got it rifling home 40-yard free-kick aged 37

Hulk has showcased his timeless power at the age of 37 with a stunning long-range free-kick.

The 37-year-old has smashed home 86 goals across 149 matches since returning to Brazil with Atletico Mineiro, after making millions in Russia with Zenit Saint Petersburg and in China with Shanghai Port.


Givanildo Vieira de Sousa, nicknamed because of his likeness to The Incredible Hulk actor Lou Ferrigno, fired home from 40 yards with the inside of his left foot to put Atletico on the path to a 2-0 win over Sao Paulo.


Atletico's caption read: "GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!"

The former Brazil international has picked up six trophies in total since returning to South America and has another 18 months on his contract.

Off the pitch, Hulk hit headlines for marrying the niece of his ex-wife Iran Angelo de Souza, with whom he has two sons and a daughter.

He began seeing Camila Angelo, 33, back in October of 2019 and they have since had a child together, his fourth.

Hulk earned almost £70million across his five seasons in China after playing in Russia for four seasons.

He hit the headlines in Europe during his tome with Porto after leaving a period spent in Japan, winning four Primeira Liga titles and the Europa League.


Hulk managed 11 goals across his 49 appearances for Brazil between 2009 and 2021, the last of which came after an absence of four years.
