Leeds United are to take disciplinary action against winger Wilfried Gnonto after he refused to play in Saturday's game against Birmingham City.
The Italy international has not travelled with the squad and is facing a fine as he tries to force a move away.
Mail Sport revealed on Wednesday that Gnonto had asked not to be considered to play for Leeds against Shrewsbury Town in the Carabao Cup and afterwards manager Daniel Farke confirmed the 19-year-old had made himself 'unavailable'.
Gnonto and his representatives have been told he will not be sold this summer despite strong interest from Everton. However, Gnonto is determined to secure a return to the Premier League to give himself a greater chance of making Italy's national squad for the European Championship next summer.
Mail Sport understands he sat out training sessions this week and has now informed Farke he is not in the right frame of mind to face Birmingham City so has not travelled.

Gnonto will not be allowed to leave Elland Road despite interest from a number of clubs
Leeds last night released a statement confirming: 'Earlier this week, Willy Gnonto and his representatives were informed by the club that he would not be sold this summer.
'Following those conversations, Willy felt he was unable to play in Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup tie with Shrewsbury Town.
'Despite training for the last two days, Willy has informed Daniel Farke that he still does not feel able to play this weekend and has not travelled to Birmingham for the game tomorrow.
'This is now an internal disciplinary matter and the club will make no further comment, other than to reiterate that Willy is not for sale.'
Leeds have been adamant that they don't want to sell the Italy international who has four years left on contract after signing last September from Zurich.
He made a big impact during a difficult season, scoring four times in 28 appearances in a season that saw Leeds relegated.
His performances have since attracted a number of enquiries with the likes of Burnley , Freiburg, Inter Milan as well as Everton all interested in signing the Italian.
Leeds have already allowed a number of players to leave owing to relegation clauses and more could follow before the end of the transfer window.
However, one player who yet stay is midfielder Tyler Adams, whose move to Chelsea broke down on Friday.
