Aston Villa are finalising the loan signing of Italy international Nicolo Zaniolo from Galatasaray.
Villa have offered a £3million loan fee with an option to buy for around £19m for the attacking midfielder.
Unai Emery's side are rapidly closing in on sealing a deal for the 24-year-old just months after he completed his move to Turkey.
Crucially, Villa sporting director Monchi has a rapport with Zaniolo, having snapped him up during his stint at Roma, and is heading up efforts to sign him again.
Zaniolo displayed promising glimpses for Galatasaray last season and scored five goals in 11 Super Lig appearances. However, he is expected to leave imminently.

Unai Emery is keen for reinforcements after Emi Buendia sustained an ACL injury
He played 94 games for Roma between 2018 and 2023 but following a fracturing in his relationship with the club, he became surplus to requirements.
That result in the switch to his current side, who are open to allowing him to leave.
Opening up a host of tactical possibilities for Emery, Zaniolo is able to play across the frontline, though he predominantly operates on the left or as a second striker.
Villa are looking to bring him in for cover for Emi Buendia, the playmaker having sustained an ACL injury that will sideline him for several months.
They began the Premier League campaign with a 4-1 defeat by Newcastle.
