Arsenal have suffered a setback to their potential transfer plans for the remainder of the summer window.
Mikel Arteta and Edu's primary focus remains on sealing departures with a view to selling at least seven players in an attempt to fund any late moves. However, one target, who could have been the subject of that plan in Mohammed Kudus, is on the verge of signing for Premier League rivals West Ham.
Meanwhile, the Gunners appear to have been given some hope of signing Ivan Toney from Brentford once his eight-month ban for betting breaches ends in January. Elsewhere, Folarin Balogun continues to be the subject of interest several Premier League clubs with a new team now joining the race for his signature.
With all of that said, stay with us on football.london as we bring you the latest Arsenal transfer news LIVE from Emirates Stadium with regular updates throughout the day!

AdidasWhere Arsenal stand ahead of deadline day
Arsenal began their plans for the summer transfer window, before the January window had even ended.
t was this forward planning that allowed Edu to bring in Arsenal's three main targets - Rice, Jurrien Timber and Kai Havertz - before the team took off for their pre-season tour of the USA. The Gunners then weren't necessarily expecting to do more business, but when the opportunity came up to sign David Raya after Nottingham Forest's interest in Matt Turner they moved quickly. It's safe to say, on the incomings front, things have gone pretty well.
When it comes to sales though it's not been so easy.

Arteta could give Tierney transfer hint vs Fulham
Mikel Arteta could provide a telling transfer hint through his matchday squad against Fulham on Saturday.
While the club mull over any further additions in the final week of the window, there are several Arsenal players whose futures still hang in the balance. One of those is Kieran Tierney, who has been omitted from the team’s first two Premier League matchday squads this season.
The left-back has been given an early opportunity to prove a point to Mikel Arteta and climb back up the pecking order. A combination of Jurrien Timber’s injury and Takehiro Tomiyasu’s red card against Crystal Palace should put Tierney firmly in contention for a place on the bench, at a minimum.

Brooke Norton-Cuffy seals loan move
Arsenal youngster Brooke Norton-Cuffy has completed a seson-long loan move to Millwall.
The 19-year-old full-back spent last season with Coventry City, where he made 24 appearances for the Sky Blues and started the club's play-off final defeat at Wembley.
This is the fourth loan spell of the England U20 international's career, having previously spent time at Lincoln City and Rotherham United.

Marco Silva gives Folarin Balogun hint
Marco Silva has provided an update on Fulham's likelihood of bringing in a striker before the end of the transfer window on September 1st.
The Cottagers finally took the decision to sell Aleksandar Mitrovic to Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal for a fee believed to be in the region of £46million last weekend. football.london understands that Fulham are looking at Arsenal's Folarin Balogun as a potential replacement for the Serbian.
When asked about potential further incomings his press conference before Fulham travel to the Emirates Stadium to take on the Gunners on Saturday afternoon, Silva admitted that his side were in the market for a centre-forward, hinting at the level of player they are hoping to attract.

Gabriel Magalhaes' price tag must change
Arsenal remain in a vulnerable area of the transfer market with just over a week to go before it mercifully (or frustratingly, depending on how you’re looking at it) slams shut. The window has thrown up some interesting opportunities including the four signings the club has secured.
However, the window being open leaves the club in the potential position to be ransacked of their own top talents. Gabriel Magalhaes has been talked about as something of a surprise exit this summer.
Clubs from the recently financially elevated Saudi Arabian league have reportedly been looking at Gabriel whilst even Real Madrid have been suggested as a potential destination for the Brazilian centre-half. The fact that Mikel Arteta has left him out of the starting XI for the past two league games has played a significant role in these suggestions. But how much would Gabriel cost a club? Or rather, how much should Arsenal be looking to charge?

Arsenal risk defensive gamble with transfer decisions
"At the moment we’re not planning to do anything," he said in his press conference ahead of Arsenal's Premier League opener with Nottingham Forest. "But the window is very unpredictable though. Things can happen, probably things that we don’t wish, so at the moment we are happy with what we’ve got."
It didn't take long for those exact unwanted things to happen. Just one day later summer signing Jurrien Timber suffered an ACL injury that Arteta has hinted could keep him out for the remainder of the season. This leaves Arsenal in something of a tricky position.
Sources at the club have stated they feel the Gunners' failure to recover from the double blow of losing William Saliba and Takehiro Tomiyasu in March last season is what cost them the title. Part of the reason for Timber's arrival was to avoid another situation like this. Without the Dutch international though, it could be argued that Arsenal are back where they started. Throw in the patchy injury record of Tomiyasu and Oleksandr Zinchenko, and it would seem as though the Gunners are taking a risk at the back.

Timber replacement
Arsenal are considering making a move for Schuurs before the window slams shut to replace Jurrien Timber. According to La Stampa [via Torino Granata], the Gunners have began work to bring the former Ajax man to north London.
The report claims they are 'thinking of Schuurs' before the window shuts next Friday.
Balogun agreement
AS Monaco appear to be closing in on an agreement over a fee for Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun this summer, according to reports.
Guehi interest
Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi is reportedly 'admired' by Arsenal.
According to the Daily Mail, the Gunners like the England international. However, a move is unlikely to happen this summer.

Carlo Ancelotti confirms no Mbappe move
Real boss Carlo Ancelotti has given the rest of Europe a boost in the race for Kylian Mbappe this summer. The Italian has confirmed that the Spanish giants are not in the market for any other players right now.
"No, I rule that out, 100% no," he said on any new signings. "It's over, I discard any new signing before market closes - the squad is closed."
Mbappe bid
Manchester United could make a move for Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe should Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani complete his takeover of the club.
Spanish outlet El Nacional have claimed that United are keen on making the PSG forward their 'franchise player', a transfer that would fit Sheikh Jassim's ambitions of returning the club "to it’s former glories both on and off the pitch."
Balogun decision
Arsenal have made a huge decision over the future of striker Folarin Balogun that will impact both Chelsea and Tottenham, per recent reports.
The Daily Mail reports that Arsenal would inflate the price of any switch if they are teams seen as competing with them. Given the fact both Chelsea and Tottenham are looking to battle towards the top and hold a rivalry suggests it would likely be a problem for them.
With a price tag already in the region of £50million, it could be a hefty upturn in price on that estimation that could drive the two clubs away, though there are plenty of twists and turns left in this window.
Newcastle fans make demand
Following Emmanuel Petit insisting that Arsenal should sign Alexander Isak, Newcastle fans have not reacted well.
On social media, supporters have insisted the Swedish striker isn't going anywhere, with one supporter claiming £160million plus Bukayo Saka will only be enough.
Kudus on verge of West Ham transfer
Arsenal look to have lost the Mohammed Kudus transfer race to West Ham with an agreement already in place with Ajax.
According to The Athletic, the Hammers are on the verge of an agreement with Ajax for Kudus with a €41.5million (£35.4m) fee to paid up front and a further €3million (£2.6m) in add-ons. A 10 per cent sell-on clause will also be included in the five-year contract he is set to sign at London Stadium.

Gabriel price tag
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Arsenal have no intention of selling Gabriel Magalhaes for even €200million (£170m) this summer.
"Arsenal have no intention to sell Gabriel Magalhaes, they consider him a very important player.
“My sources, yesterday, when I was asking, they told me not even €200 million (£170m) will convince Arsenal to let Gabriel Magalhaes go. So, at the moment, Gabriel is staying at Arsenal. This is very strong and clear.”

Balogun bidding war expected
Arsenal are braced for a bidding war over the future of Folarin Balogun as he seeks to seal an Emirates Stadium departure.
Monaco, Tottenham, Chelsea and West Ham have all shown interest thus far. football.london understands that Fulham are now also monitoring his situation with Monaco set to launch an improved offer in the coming days.

Arsenal get Toney transfer hint
Ivan Toney could leave Brentford in one of the coming transfer windows amid links to Chelsea and Tottenham.
However, while those two London clubs will likely appeal to the England international there are two other Premier League teams he may already have his eye on. "I've been a Liverpool fan my whole life but from young I've liked Arsenal," he told the Diary of a CEO YouTube podcast. "I've liked watching Arsenal from how they play and kind of how passionate (their) fans are."
Now, the Bees have made a transfer decision which could hint that they are aware of interest circling in Toney.
