Aston Villa transfer theory shared as Cameron Archer announcement made
The latest Aston Villa transfer news as the striker has officially joined Sheffield United on a permanent deal.
Aston Villa fans are expecting the club to sign a replacement for Cameron Archer, who has officially joined Sheffield United.
Villa officially confirmed the transfer on Sunday morning. The striker has joined the fellow Premier League side on a permanent deal, but Villa have negotiated a buy back clause, therefore retaining some control over the player’s future.
Archer played a total of 10 Premier League appearances for the club, but it was on loan where he excelled last season. He caught the eye with his performances for both Preston North End and Middlesbrough.
The striker featured in all three of Villa’s friendlies in the Premier League Summer Series in America, but will now have a chance to show what he can do in the Premier League. His departure does leave just Ollie Watkins and Jhon Duran as the recognised strikers at the club.
