Celtic transfer news roundup as Mathias Kvistgaarden 'close' to deal after Brondby price drop while 2 join exodus

It's set to be a busy end to the window for Brendan Rodgers and the Scottish Premiership.

Brondby have reportedly accepted a bid from Celtic for Mathias Kvistgaarden with the striker "ready" for the switch.

Brendan Rodgers is ramping up his business before the end of the window with the Scottish Premiership champions looking to add in several key positions - with Luis Palma expected be the first in the door from Aris. But the Honduras international is not the only forward set to arrive with a report now suggesting the Danish side have accepted a fresh offer for the 21-year-old.

BT stated that Celtic's second bid of £4.1miillion had been rejected but Italian outlet Tutto Mercato claims that the Hoops are "one step away" from landing the player - after Kvistgaarden penned new terms with Brondby this year, with the star having a contract until 2027, and the Danish side are reportedly in no rush to sell the key asset. Brondby had reportedly held off for a £6million move but the latest report suggests a deal in the region of £4.3m is "close" with all parties close to agreeing a deal.

Matthew Anderson and Tobi Oluwayemi have both finally completed their loan move to the Hoops' feeder club in Austria, Admira Wacker. The 19-year-old left back and England Under 20s keeper were reported to have lined up the loan move a month ago, but the deal only went through this week.

The club's sports director Peter Stoger said: "We're proud that a prestigious club like Celtic entrusts us with these players to help them develop. It shows that we are on the right track with our philosophy. These are two young and very exciting youngsters. The two have already gained experience in various British youth national teams and will definitely help us further."
