Chris Sutton roasts Celtic 'idiot' Sead Haksabanovic as winger told Brendan Rodgers answer if he knocks on gaffer's door

The winger lashed out over his lack of game time on Instagram following the draw with St Johnstone.

Irked Chris Sutton has roasted Celtic star Sead Haksabanovic as he branded the winger "an idiot" after his social media jibe.

The Montenegro international has failed to make his mark at Parkhead since being signed by Ange Postecolgou last summer but hit out at the lack of game time he has received under Brendan Rodgers so far this term, following the draw with St Johnstone. The 24-year-old pulled no punches in an Instagram post which pulls no punches. He added a black and white picture with the caption: "If they don't see your value maybe you're not in the right place."

The attacker was met with a heated response from sections of the Celtic support for his comments after a lacklustre spell in Glasgow's east end since joining from Rubin Kazan. And Sutton put the wide man in his crosshairs when speaking on the Record Celtic Podcast. The Celtic Park hero was asked it Hakasbanovic's comments would have been allowed by Parkhead teammates in his day. He responded: "He is an idiot really, isn't he?

"I don't know what he is thinking. If you have a problem go and knock on the managers door. I can understand his frustration . You know, he feels he hasn't played enough games and started enough games.

Celtic's Sead Haksabanovic

"Ange Postecoglou brought him in and didn't start him in a lot of games and there is a reason. As a player the bottom line is you need to earn the right.

"There is a strong argument to say he hasn't earned the right. Do the talking on the pitch, but no that wouldn't have gone down well in our dressing room. I will never understand that.

"If I was a current player I wouldn't go on social media and I certainly wouldn't try to be cryptic about it,. Just front up and bang on the managers door and tell him you aren't happy, then he can possibly tell you that you haven't been good enough and you are hopeless and move him out if that is the case."
