Celtic star Sead Haksabanovic ‘agrees terms’ with European club just days after fuelling exit talk with online outburst

SEAD HAKSABANOVIC is reportedly closing in on a Celtic exit.

The 24-year old winger has agreed terms with Greek club PAOK according to a report coming out of the country.

Journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos says that Celtic and PAOK - who face Hearts in the Europa League tonight - are in talks over a deal.

He goes on to say that Haksabanovic has even already AGREED terms to make the move.

Montenegro international Haksabanovic only signed a FIVE-YEAR deal when he joined from Rubin Kazan 12 months ago.

He made 40 appearances in all competitions as the Hoops secured the domestic treble last season, but he was largely used as a substitute and made just 13 starts.

He's been on the fringes of the team this season under Brendan Rodgers and has been restricted to two substitute appearances.

Haksabanovic's frustrations appeared to get the better of him over the weekend when he vented on social media.

Taking to Instagram with what appeared to be a veiled dig at boss Rodgers, he vented: "If they don't see your value maybe you're not in the right place."

The post fuelled talk that Haksabanovic could be set for a Celtic exit.

The Hoops just yesterday completed the signing of another winger in the form of Honduras international Luis Palma, perhaps signalling Haksabanovic's opportunities would continue to be few and far between.

And with just a day left of the transfer window, it appears his future could lie with PAOK.

In addition to Palma, Celtic have completed the signing of Nat Phillips from Liverpool.

The 26-year old centre-back is now in line to be thrown in at the deep end in Sunday's Old Firm showdown with Rangers at Ibrox.

Phillips has joined the Hoops on loan until January and helps ease a defensive injury crisis at Parkhead.

Speaking to Celtic TV, Phillips said: “I’m really excited. When I heard about the interest it was one that got me excited.

"There were a few other options that didn’t quite make me feel the same as this one did, so I was really keen to get it over the line and I’m delighted to be here now.”

“It’s the history of the club.

"It’s such a huge club, the club’s aspirations, the level it competes at, the fact that they’re in the Champions League this year and the mentality of the club – they want to be winners in everything they do.”
