Welcome to the Liverpool ECHO's live transfer blog covering all things Everton.
The Toffees have added Ashley Young, Youssef Chermiti and Beto to the squad on permanent deals, while Arnaut Danjuma and Jack Harrison have come in on loan this summer.
Deadline day was also a busy one for departures, seeing Alex Iwobi, Jean-Philippe Gbamin, Neal Maupay and Tom Cannon all leave Goodison Park. Demarai Gray's future remains unresolved with the Saudi Pro League transfer window still open until later in September.
Sean Dyche's men are also now off the mark in the Premier League, sharing the spoils after a 2-2 draw away to Sheffield United. Abdoulaye Doucoure and Danjuma were the scorers of the Blues' first league goals of the campaign.

Sean Dyche gives Demarai Gray update after deadline day attention
Sean Dyche provided an explanation of Demarai Gray's situation after transfer deadline day.
After today's match the boss revealed that the winger is on course to be reintegrated into Everton's first team setup after a summer move failed to materialise.
Most of the speculation these past few months have linked Gray with a Saudi Pro League switch - where the window remains open deep into September - however Dyche maintained his player would make the step back towards his squad.

Sean Dyche reveals what was said in Everton dressing room at half time vs Sheffield United
Sean Dyche made his frustations known after Everton could not find a way to take all three points back to Goodison Park after today's draw against Sheffield United.
The Blues boss described the draw as a “useful point” and said he was pleased at the chances created by his team as they scored their first Premier League goals of the campaign.
Arnaut Danjuma's equaliser came minutes after the restart and ultimately a winner could not be found. Dyche revealed what he said to his men in the dressing room at half-time that inspired an upturn in the second half.

Beto debut
New £26m signing Beto also had a message for Blues supporters after making his first Premier League appearance today. Whilst not getting on the scoresheet today, the Portuguese striker can take confidence from a strong debut.
Danjuma also takes to social media
Everton's other goalscorer, Arnaut Danjuma, took to social media after getting the club back on level terms at the start of the second half:
Doucoure message after scoring for Everton
Abdoulaye Doucoure got the Blues off the mark for the 2023/24 campaign earlier this afternoon, here is his response:
Sean Dyche has a new untouchable as Sheffield United highlight four players Everton cannot do without
Everton are a side in need of heroes and a frantic draw at Sheffield United highlighted the four players whose form will define this season.
Jordan Pickford's stoppage time double save, Beto's influential debut, Amadou Onana's talent and James Tarkowski's quest to get back to top form were the key points from Saturday's 2-2 draw that resulted in a first point of the 2023/24 campaign.
Sean Dyche needs individuals to step up this season because he has a threadbare squad after another difficult transfer window, the important decisions of which were decided by the club’s finances rather than its ambition.

Alex Iwobi shares farewell message with Everton fans after completing Fulham transfer
Alex Iwobi shared a farewell message to Everton supporters after completing a transfer deadline day exit from Goodison Park.
Fulham completed the transfer in the early hours of Saturday morning after submitting a deal sheet, enabling them an additional two hours on top of last night's 11pm deadline.
This brought an end to the Nigerian's four-year spell on Merseyside, during which he made 140 appearances and developed into a versatile squad option. Though should he have stayed, the Blues risked losing him to a free transfer next summer with no breakthrough made in fresh contract negotiations prior to his exit.
After moving back to the capital, where he arrived at Everton initially from Arsenal, Iwobi took to social media to share his thoughts to the fans.
