Scott Brown dramatically SACKED by Fleetwood as League One side axe Celtic legend

SCOTT BROWN has been dramatically SACKED as Fleetwood boss.
The Celtic icon leaves the role after just over a year in charge.
Brown, 38, has paid the price for a horror run of form at the start of the season.
Fleetwood haven't won any of their six games in the league this campaign so far - losing five and taking just one point from a possible 18.
The former Hoops skipper was appointed to his first managerial role by the Cod Army in May 2022 and only signed a new contract two months ago.
But the dire start to the season has seen Brown pay the price.

Former Rangers defender Steven Whittaker, a teammate of Brown's during his playing days at Hibs, has also left his role at the club.
Fleetwood said in a statement: "Fleetwood Town can confirm Head Coach Scott Brown has left the club with immediate effect.
"Following a difficult run of results the club reluctantly felt now is the right time to make a change to the First Team management.
"Assistant Head Coach Steven Whittaker will also depart and everyone at the club would like to place on record their thanks to Scott and Steven for their hard work and professionalism during his time at the club."

Having been Celtic captain during their nine-in-a-row success and winning 23 trophies with the Hoops, Brown departed Parkhead in 2021 after 14 years at the club.
He took up a player-coach role at Aberdeen, before getting the Fleetwood gig in May last year.
Brown led the club to a 13th place finish in League One last year, and also reached the fifth round of the FA Cup.
This was the club's best-ever run in the historic tournament.
Fleetwood chiefs were impressed by the campaign and signed Brown up to an extended two-year contract less than two months ago.
However, it's turned sour this season and they've decided to act after the horror run of form.
Having drawn against Carlisle on the opening day of the season, it's been six defeats in a row for Brown's side, including a Carabao Cup exit to Port Vale.
Brown had emerged as one of the early favourites for the vacancy at old club Hibs last weekend.
