PSG chief Al Khelaifi's dart aimed at Barca
After being re-elected as the president of the ECA (European Clubs Association), Nasser Al Khelaïfi remembered both Barcelona and Real Madrid... and took a jab.
In a press conference held in Berlin, the PSG chief once again criticized the project proposed by the two major Spanish football clubs: "I call it the 'No Super League', nobody wants to do it. We don't care what they do. They're out. It used to be three teams before, now it's two," he said, referring to the club led by Joan Laporta and the entity presided over by Florentino Pérez.
These words from the president of the ECA reinforce the stance he already took yesterday: "I will never forget all the exits from the ECA Board WhatsApp group on Sunday, April 18, 2021. In fact, I thought my phone had been hacked, and it wouldn't be the first time," explained Al Khelaïfi, who didn't seem concerned about the football boom in Saudi Arabia.
