Ex-Celtic star Sead Haksabanovic ignites Montenegro feud with ‘holiday’ pic after winger sparks fury with call-up snub

SEAD HAKSABANOVIC has been spotted enjoying a sunshine break to Spain despite telling his international boss he couldn't play for Montenegro.

The ex-Celtic winger was called up to Miodrag Radulovic squad for their international double header against Lithuania and Bulgaria this week.

Haksabanovic, 24, has been a regular in the national side since switching his allegiances from Sweden in 2017 and has been capped 33 times since.

But the forward could lose his place in the team after his manager revealed his disappointment at the player turning down the chance to play for the country this month.

Haksabanovic - who left Celtic to join Stoke City on a deadline day loan deal - told the boss he needed to stay in the UK to adjust to life at his new club.

But as Montenegro were held to a 2-2 draw to Lithuania last night, the forward had departed the UK and jetted out to Spain instead.

Former Djurgarden team-mate Albion Ademi took to social media to show fans that he has been enjoying the sunshine in Barcelona with Haksabanovic by his side.

The fellow winger posted a picture of the former Celtic star enjoying a couple of drinks in the city with the beaming sun glaring behind them.

It's not a good look for the 24-year-old after he already tried to force an exit from Parkhead with cryptic messages on social media.

It was successful as he sealed his move to Stoke just days later but Montenegro boss Radulovic won't be best pleased with his latest antics.

After Haksabanovic ruled himself out of international duty, the manager said: "Sead contacted us and said that he needs to fulfil obligations related to moving from club to club, from Scotland to England, so we cannot count on him. Let him think about this decision.

"The players show how much they care playing for our national team by the decisions they make. He's decided to put his own personal situation first. So I will only concentrate on the players that are here and who do want to play for Montenegro."
