KSI 'does a Karius' in Sidemen vs YouTube charity match as viral star rinsed over epic gaffe

KSI was between the sticks for sidemen and dropped a clanger in front of millions of viewers.

KSI is caught out by a deflection

Megastar KSI was left on egg on his face in the Sidemen charity YouTube match as he dropped a clanger in goals - and was accused of 'doing a Karius.'

YouTuber turned boxer and rapper KSI is the best known of the Sidemen collective of streamers and he helped organise the charity event for the second year running. It raised almost £1m before the match, taking place at West Ham's London Stadium, even kicked off and attracted millions of viewers on the streaming and video platform.

Unfortunately for KSI, who went in goals for Sidemen against a team of YouTube allstars, almost 2MILLION were tuned in when he dropped a clanger between the sticks. His side had just gone ahead for the second time in the game through Miniminter before Chunkz took it upon himself to have a pop from distance. It took a wicked deflection which caught KSI off-guard and he couldn't change direction in time to claw it out.

But there was no mercy for him in the replies with one viewer noting he 'did a Karius' referencing the former Liverpool keeper's similar howler against Real Madrid in the 2018 Champions League final. Karius is now third-choice at Newcastle. KSI...is not. You can watch the Sidemen vs YouTube Allstars charity match live here.
