Mykhailo Mudryk labelled 'Ukrainian Adama Traore' as £88m Chelsea flop useless vs England

Fans are ripping into Mykhailo Mudryk after the Chelsea flop produced an absolute stinker against England on Saturday.

Ukraine sealed a hard-earned point to stay within touching distance of the Three Lions in their Euro 2024 qualification group, but Mudryk had very little joy - huffing and puffing up and down the touchline and struggling to make any inroads up against a rampant Kyle Walker.

Supporters on social media pounced on the 22-year-old, who is yet to score for Chelsea in 20 appearances, during and after the game, with some even branding him "the Ukrainian Adama Traore".

"Just a reminder that Chelsea paid €70m + add ons for Mudryk. The man has zero output. He's the Ukrainian Adama Traore," one fan wrote.

Another said: "Mudryk is not real ffs. He's so bad haha," while another laughed: "Literally so happy Arsenal steered clear of Mudryk. He's the worst player on the pitch by a mile."

A fourth added: "Kind of feel for Mudryk as every performance he puts in is under the microscope, but he's a long long way from being the £80m player Chelsea paid for."

Oleksandr Zinchenko opened the scoring for Ukraine on 26 minutes after latching onto a cut-back and tucking the ball underneath Jordan Pickford, but England were level before half time after Walker smashed home from close-range after being played through by a sumptuous Harry Kane pass.

Chelsea hijacked Arsenal's move for Mudryk back in January, and although he made a reasonable first impression on his debut, coming on as second-half substitute against Liverpool, the speedster has looked an absolute shell of the man who put in a man of the match performance against Real Madrid a few months prior ever since.

Chelsea's woeful form in 2023 hasn't helped, but the fact that he hasn't started a single game under Mauricio Pochettino speaks volumes and he clearly has a lot of work to do before he'll be able to silence his critics.
