Manchester United are said to not be interested in signing former Aston Villa winger Anwar El Ghazi.

The Red Devils were linked with a shock move for El Ghazi because of the uncertainty surrounding two wingers at Old Trafford, Jadon Sancho and Antony.

United announced on Sunday that Antony will not be playing for the club "until further notice" amid allegations of assault against the Brazilian, which he denies.

And Sancho has had a very public disagreement with United manager Erik ten Hag after he was left out of the team.

The Athletic reporter Laurie Whitwell posted on X, formerly Twitter: “#MUFC not interested in Anwar El Ghazi, after proposal by agents. Right-wing options affected by Antony’s withdrawal + Sancho’s situation, but Pellistri was kept with a view to featuring, plus Garnacho could play there. Fernandes/Mount too, if necessary.”
