Liel Abada delivers Celtic injury vow as lengthy road to recovery met with 'fitter and stronger' message

The winger has vowed to return stronger after being ruled out for longer than he and Celtic expected

Liel Abada has promised Celtic fans that he will return to the playing fold fitter and stronger after news broke that he would be injured until the start of 2024.

The Israel winger picked up an injury on international duty, despite never kicking a ball - picking up a knock in training that kept him out of fixtures against Romania and Belarus.

But that knock saw him sent back to Glasgow for medical tests, with manager Brendan Rodgers confirming that the wide man would be out for around three to four months, only adding further to the Lennoxtown injury table woes with the likes of Cameron Carter-Vickers, Stephen Welsh and Maik Nawrocki also out for the time being, with Reo Hatate, Marco Tilio and Mikey Johnston also moving along to make their way in to the first-team picture with crucial Champions League games upcoming.

And now Abada has broken his silence on the matter, promising that he'll come back better. He posted on Instagram: "Unfortunately, I have just received the news that my injury will keep me out of the game for a longer period than expected.
