Cameron Archer explains Aston Villa transfer decision after summer move
The latest Aston Villa news as the striker completed a permanent move to Sheffield United in the summer transfer window.
Former Aston Villa striker Cameron Archer has explained his decision to join Sheffield United this summer.
The 21-year-old was the subject of interest from a number of clubs in the transfer window, but the Blades won the race. The newly-promoted Premier League side paid a fee of £18.5m, but Villa do have a buy-back clause as part of the deal.
Archer enjoyed a debut to remember in the 2-2 draw with Everton before the international break. The Villa academy graduate scored his first goal for the club as well as playing a big hand in the second goal with his shot rebounding off the post and onto Jordan Pickford, who scored an own goal.

"Premier League football, passionate fans, a big club," he said, via YorkshireLive . “You just have that feeling when a club is interested, I had that feeling about Sheffield United."
The former Villa man also outlined his main aim for this season after enjoying a positive start with the club.
"I'm going to try and keep the club up this season, the most important thing,” he added. “We don't like to look too much into the future, take each game as it comes and keep our heads down and keep working.
"From last Saturday I have that belief now, I can use that and keep my head down, keep working hard."
