Lucas Digne reveals Moussa Diaby messages ahead of Aston Villa transfer
The latest Aston Villa news as the forward has impressed in his first five appearances for Villa after completing a summer transfer.
Aston Villa full-back Lucas Digne has said that he and Boubacar Kamara were messaging Moussa Diaby on Instagram to ask if he was signing for the club.
The forward completed a move to Villa Park from Bayer Leverkusen in July, becoming the third new arrival of the summer. Diaby has impressed with his start at the club, scoring twice and providing an assist in his four Premier League games so far.
While he was a new arrival, the 24-year-old did have some familiar faces in the Villa squad already in French national teammates Digne and Kamara. “Everybody in the club is doing everything for him to feel confident and feel well, he’s doing really well, “ Digne told Sky Sports.

The full-back then confirmed that there were some conversations with the new Villa man before he completed his move “Just a little bit on Instagram, we spoke.
“I spoke to him on if he will come or not, with Bouba (Boubacar Kamara) too, we are very happy to have him here.”
Digne also gave a tongue in cheek insight on how he deals with stopping Diaby when they come up against each other in training.
“He’s more playing like a number 10 and sometimes he is in between the lines. But, yes in training sometimes we are against each other, he’s quick, he’s good and he has some skill and he’s very dangerous.
“I catch him like that, and he’s done.” he added while pulling his arms into his chest and smiling.
Diaby will have the chance to continue to impress when Villa take on Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon. After that game attention turns to European action with the first Europa Conference League group game against Legia Warsaw.
