There was perhaps only one talking point when it came to Tottenham's finalised 25-man squad for the first half of the 2023/24 Premier League season. Previously looking like Hugo Lloris would not be included after making his feelings clear on a transfer away from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, in the end the Frenchman was named as one of the 25 players after failing to secure a summer move.
That has now raised questions about Lloris' place in the pecking order as a result. The same goes for current second-choice goalkeeper Fraser Forster as the World Cup winner could potentially jump ahead of him now that he will be remaining a Tottenham player for the time being.
Eric Dier's place in the Tottenham squad was also a talking point for some fans, although it was always pretty clear that he would be registered as a Spurs player for the season despite so far failing to make a matchday squad in their first five fixtures. Certainly short at centre-back as things stand following the departure of Davinson Sanchez, Tottenham need to address the position come January.
Our Tottenham correspondents Alasdair Gold and Rob Guest discuss all of the above and the incoming arrival of Croatian youngster Luka Vuskovic in the latest episode of their Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham podcast. There's plenty of other things on the agenda this week, including Postecoglou's interview with talkSPORT, Richarlison's confession on international duty that he will seek psychological help and Rodrigo Bentancur returning to the training pitch.
Finally, the pair talk about Saturday's Premier League clash against Sheffield United as the Lilywhites look to secure a fourth successive win in the league.
